Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad is one of the eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Currently , Institute runs from a temporary campus located at Ordnance Factory Medak's estate in Yeddumailaram not from Kandy Campus .
