The Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSOM), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur invites application for admission to 2 years full time Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme for the session 2017.

MBA Duration

The duration of MBA Programme is 2 years (4 semesters)

Total quantum of coursework required to earn the MBA degree through VGSoM = 89 to 93 credits

MBA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree in Science Economics or Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level) with the following criteria:

GE/NC-OBC: Minimum of 60% marks (OR CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale)

SC/ST/PwD: Minimum of 55% marks (OR CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale)

Admission to reserved category candidates will be as per Govt. of India rules

Applicants must be in good health. In case of any discrepancy found in the certificate of medical fitness to be submitted during registration, the opinion of the Institute Medical Officer will be final

Persons with Physical Disabilities (PwD) candidates are to appear before a medical board on or before 31st Oct. 2017 at IIT Kharagpur; the decision of the Medical Board is final and becomes binding to the candidate

MBA Selection Procedure-

The selection of candidates for admission to the 2017-19 batch of MBA at VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur is a two-step process.

In the first step, candidates are short-listed for GD-WA-PI from among candidates who have a valid CAT/GMAT score.

An overseas category candidate who applies with a GMAT score instead of a CAT Score should have a total scaled score of at least 750

Selection will be based on application rating, performance in CAT for domestic students and GMAT for international students, and the candidate’s performance in the group discussion, written analysis and personal interview (GD-WA-PI) round
