The Geo Resource Engineering and Technology Students Teachers and Employers Partnership GREAT STEP is fest organized by the Department of Mining Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology IIT, Kharagpur.

GREAT STEP wish to channelize the immense talent and ingenuity of the students to challenging problems, build a Coherent and strong rapport between employers and students and provide a platform for the students to help them become the future stalwarts in the realm of Geo-Science and Engineering.

It served the very idea of providing a common platform for students, teachers and employers of the field of mining.

Events such as Sarvekshan, Petro Case study and Enviro Case study saw a huge participation of the geo-mining students of the country. Geobotics and Industrial Design tested the integration of theoretical and practical knowledge of future leaders of this industry.
