As you asking I am telling IIT, Mumbai, offered Petroleum Engineering program through Department of Earth Sciences, which is supported by major oil companies in its various teaching and research activities. Its programs are based on curriculum that is laced with direct inputs from the industry.

M. Tech in Petroleum Geoscience

Eligibility
Students must first class (or 60% marks) Master’s degree or equivalent in Geology/Applied Geology/Geophysics/Geochemistry are eligible, provided they have passed the GATE/NET.

Those with an IIT B. Tech degree and have a CGPA/CPI score of 8 and above are exempted from the requirement of GATE qualification. They will be admitted under TA/RA positions through a written test and interview.

Selection Criteria

Selection is done purely on the basis of GATE scores or written test/interview, as applicable.

Fee

One-time payment at the time of admission – Rs 5,000

Semester fees – Rs 19,750

Deposit (refundable) to be paid at the time of admission – Rs. 3,000
