IMI-Kolkata offers a two-year, full-time PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) which is equivalent to MBA. It is designed to prepare one for careers in corporate across all functional areas. Eligibility Criteria One must possess bachelor degree or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university in India or abroad for admission to post-graduate programmes. The bachelor degree or equivalent qualification obtained by one must involve a minimum of 3 years' education after completing schooling in 10+2 system or equivalent. Admission is through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the IIM at different centres all over the country. Foreign students and NRI students are also eligible and are required to take the Graduate Management Aptitude test (GMAT). It also accepts Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) scores. One appearing in the final year of the bachelor degree or equivalent is also eligible. Apart from fresh graduates, candidates with relevant work experience can also apply. Selection Process IMI-Kolkata provides admission on the basis of CAT (Common Aptitude Test) / GMAT (Graduate management admission test) scores and XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test). In addition to the above scores, considerable weightage to past academic records (academic performance of class 10, class 12 and graduation). Only short listed one is called for further screening rounds which consist of Group Discussion and Personal Interview. |
