Eligibility

Age: A candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on the first July of the year of examination.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must hold degree of a recognized University, or equivalent.

Physical Standards: For the posts of Inspector of Central Excise and Preventive Officer, candidates will have to satisfy the following minimum physical standards, failing which they will not be eligible for appointment.

(a) Inspector of Central Excise/Preventive Officer (Male candidates)

(i) Physical Standards (Minimum)
Height 157.5 cms
Chest 81 cms (fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cms Relaxable by 5 cms in the case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, Kumaon Region, Nagaland Tribes and members of ST

(ii) Physical Test:
Walking
cycling 1600 metres in 15 minutes
8 Km in 30 minutes
(b) Inspector of Central Excise/Preventive Officer (Lady Candidates)

(ii) Physical Standard::
Height 152 cms
Weight 48 Kg Height relaxable by 2.5 cm and weight by 2 kg for Gorkhans, Garhwalis, Assamese, Kumaon region and Nagaland Tribes and members of ST
(ii) Physical Test:
Walking
Cycling 1 km in 20 minutes
3 km in 2
