Indian Academy of Science offered the scholarship for the Summer Research Fellowship Programme for Students and Teachers programme for the year 2015 the details of which are mentioned below:

Science Academies’ Summer Research Fellowship Programme for Students as well as Teachers:

The 3 national Science Academies offered several two-month Summer Fellowships to enable students/teachers (studying/teaching in India) to labour with scientists associated with the three Academies. A copy of the application format, instructions to applicants including eligibility criteria, and a list of names of scientists/faculty who have consented to guide students/teachers to work on short-term projects was displayed at the official websites of the Academies.

Applications were invited from concerned students and teachers from all universities and colleges affiliated to UGC/AICTE/MCI/Accredited Institutions of State Universities for these Fellowships. The application included (a) the application form in the prearranged format; (b) scanned copies of mark sheets from class X to lst examination; (c) a write-up in about 150 – 250 words as to what the candidate wants to learn and achieve; (d) names of possible guides with whom the candidate would like to work. Student applicants must also provide the email id of one their teachers or HOD familiar with their work. The Academies will approach them for a commendation letter in the prescribed format. The selected applicant should work with the assigned guide for two months any time during the calendar year, preferably during the summer.

Applications must be submitted by logging onto one of the official websites. The registration number assigned shortly after the online submission must be quoted in all future correspondence.
