Indian administrative service eligibility
I have completed B.Tech. Now I want to fill the application form to give the Indian administrative service exam. So tell me am I eligible or not? If yes then will you please tell me about from where I can download the syllabus of the Indian administrative service exam? Also give me the whole eligibility details?

Indian Administrative Services IAS Exam is a Civil Services exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission for top notch positions in the Central Government and its various departments. IAS Eligibility Criteria Graduation degree in any stream from any recognized University The candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination and are waiting for the result are also eligible to apply The Qualifying Examination as stated above is the Graduation Examination in 3 year course, 4 years course or of any equivalent degree. Age- The candidates must be aged between 21 years to 32 years of age The candidates will be applicable for the age limit relaxation as prescribed the GOI. Age Limit Relaxation- General 32 Years Other Backwards Castes (OBC) 32 Years with an extension of 03 more years = 35 years Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) 32 Years with an extension of 05 Years = 37 years Jammu &Kashmir Domicile General = 37 years OBC = 40 Years SC/ST = 42 Years PH = 50 years Physically disabled candidates (Blind, Deaf-Mute, orthopedic) 32 years with a 10 year extension = 42 years Disabled servicemen disabled from duty General= 37 years OBC = 38 Years SC/ST = 40 Years Nationality: For the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service, a candidate must be a citizen of India For other services, a candidate must be either: A citizen of India, or A subject of Nepal, or A subject of Bhutan, or A Tibetan refugee who came over to India with the intention of permanently settling in India. or A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Srilanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. These candidates will not be eligible for appointment to the Indian Foreign Service. |
