Hi I would like to have the information about the depository services which is offered by Indian Bank as well as the documents required to open a Demat account with the Bank?

Indian Bank has become a Depository Participant with NSDL and so now the investors can now obtain depository services through the Bank. Just as one opens a bank account, an investor can open DEMAT account with Indian Bank to avail of depository facilities. Basic Services Dematerialisation i.e., converting physical certificates to electronic form. Rematerialisation i.e., conversion of securities in demat form into physical certificates. Receipt in of shares purchased and delivery out of shares sold in electronic form Pledging / hypothecation of dematerialized securities against loan; Electronic credit of securities allotted in public issues, rights issue; Receipt of non-cash corporate benefits such as bonus, in electronic form; Freezing of Demat accounts, so that the debits from the account not permitted; Nomination facility for Demat accounts Services relating to change of address; Effecting transmission of securities; How do you open a Demat Account? To open a Demat Account you have to submit the following documents: Proof of identity & proof of address by way of Passport / Ration Card / Voters ID Card / Driving License. Passport size photograph Bank account details viz account no, branch & MICR code PAN Card is mandatory for opening a Demat Account.
