The National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) was established in November 1993 as an autonomous society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. The following five teams preented their working model: 1. Delhi Technology University, Delhi 2. SRM University, Chennai 3. Ambedkar Institute of Advanced communication Technologies & Research , New Delhi 4. Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai 5.
