Re: Indian Institute of Technology Madras Department of Physics

The Department of Physics - set in the sylvan grounds of IIT Madras - conducts research in numerous boondocks zones. These territories incorporate trial strong state material science, optical and laser physical science, and different parts of hypothetical and computational material science running from consolidated matter to string hypothesis and cosmology.

The Department conducts programs at the Bachelor's, Master's and additionally at the Doctoral Research levels. We direct a dynamic undergrad program - Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in 'Designing Physics'- - in conjunction with the Department of Electrical Engineering. We offer three sorts of Master's projects: a Dual Degree program that comprises of a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Physics, a different Master of Science (M.Sc.) program in Physics, and a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Solid State Technology. We likewise lead a consistent Doctoral Research (Ph.D.) program.

Notwithstanding these projects led by the Department, we frequently offer a few center and elective material science courses to the designing and science understudies from the various Departments of the Institute.
