Re: Indian Navy Details

In compatibility of India's Act East Policy and show of India's dedication to peace and flourishing of Indo-Pacific locale, Indian Naval boat Satpura touched base at Hawaii on 30 Jun 2016 to partake in the 25th release of Exercise RIMPAC.

Exercise RIMPAC is the biggest multilateral maritime activity on the planet and is held biennially in the Western Pacific Ocean. Indian Navy's relationship with Ex RIMPAC started with support as an "Eyewitness" in 2006, 2010 and 2012. In 2014, Indian Naval support was upgraded with organization of Indian Naval boat Sahyadri in the 24th release of the activity. The present release of the activity is booked off Hawaii from 30 June - 04 August 16 and is liable to be gone to by 27 nations.

Indian Naval cooperation in Ex RIMPAC-16 gives a stage to multilateral operational communications went for expanded interoperability and improvement of regular comprehension of methodology for sea security operations. The expert trades in harbor and various scope of exercises adrift, including complex surface, sub-surface and air operations would empower sharing of best practices and sharpening of operational abilities.

Indian Naval boat Satpura, an indigenously fabricated guided rocket stealth frigate, part of the Eastern Fleet, will take an interest in the activity. In charge of the boat is the Commanding Officer, Captain A N Pramod who is helped by a group of expert and profoundly energetic men of the Indian Navy.

Support in Ex RIMPAC–16 is another critical development in Indian Navy's endeavors towards, fortifying common certainty and between operability, and imparting of best practices to different naval forces of the locale. Indian Navy's interest in the activity will bolster oceanic security in the Indo-Pacific area, and add to peace and strength of the worldwide lodge.
