Hey the Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) is a number indicative of your cumulative performance upto a certain point of time.

A student has one overall CPI which is based on the percentage of each SEM or year.

It is also called GPA (Grade Point Average) or CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) in some institutes

Index For Performance

The overall performance of a candidate will be determined at any stage as follows: Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) = N Cn Mn / NCn

The Cn will be the number of credit earned for the course n in an academic year and Mn is the marks obtained by the student for the course n.

The N is the total number of courses in which the performance will be measured.

The courses will have maximum marks of 100 irrespective of the number of credits assigned to the courses.

For the CPI, those courses, in which the student has cleared getting not less than 50% marks and for which credits are earned, shall be taken into account.

Applicants CPI will be calculated on the basis of the minimum credits acceptable for each program taking his / her performance in the subjects, in which applicant has got highest marks.

In the mark sheet, the highest credits got by the candidate will also be shown.
