IRDA full name:
Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority

IRDA is stand for Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority. This is an independent agency that controls and regulates insurance businesses in India.

It was constituted by Indian Government to promote healthy insurance businesses in India. Companies involving in Insurance business are subject to policies developed by IRDA.

It was constituted by a Parliament of India act called Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 1999
