IRDA Scheme
Can you provide me the details of the Insurance Research Grant Scheme offered by Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA)? Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) set up as autonomous body under the IRDA Act, 1999 to defend the interests of policyholders, to regulate, promote and ensure orderly growth of the insurance industry and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. It regulates the Indian insurance industry to protect the interests of the policyholders and work for the orderly growth of the industry. IRDA Scheme In order to encourage research work relating to insurance and consumer protection with a proposal to increase the consciousness about insurance amongst the public and policyholders, IRDA has introduced a scheme for sponsorship of research work on insurance.
