1. You are given two parabolas such that their directrices coincide. Assume them being on the same side of the directrix; the parabolas intersect at some point. Now suppose that the common directrix is moved away from the parabolas keeping their foci fixed. As a result, the parabolas are supposed to grow in size. Find the locus of the point of intersection of the parabolas.
Hint: Try using the definition of a parabola. Note that the intersection point always remains at an equal distance from the foci.

2. Is (30!)/ (10! * 10! * 10!) Necessarily an integer?


Is the function cos(x) + cos (√2x) periodic?
