ISI Kolkata MS QE

I am resident of Kolkata and planning to join Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) for doing Master of Science in Quantitative Economics (MSQE) program. Will you tell me what the eligibility required to apply for this course and also provide me complete course structure of MSQE?

Indian Statistical Institute is an academic institute of national importance as recognized by a 1959 act of the Indian parliament.

About ISI MSQE course:

Master of Science in Quantitative Economics (MSQE)

The institute introduced this 2-year programme since 1996-97. It is a unique course in India.

Eligibility:

Three-year Bachelor’s degree in Economics/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Physics OR B.Stat. degree from the Indian Statistical Institute OR Engineering degree.

Admission:

For M.S.(Q.E.) program admission is based on academic record, performance in written selection tests and subsequent interview.

Semester I
Econ271A: Microeconomics I
Econ272A: Game Theory I
Stat271: Statistics
Math271: *Mathematical Methods
One Optional Course
Students having Mathematics and/or Statistics as major/honours subjects at their Bachelor’s level, are required to take suitable other courses (in consultation with the Class Teacher) in lieu of
Math 271 and Stat 271 courses.
