The Executive Space MBA program as offered by International Space University (ISU) is aimed at Engineers and Scientists orienting their careers towards managerial functions and Economists, Policy Specialists and Lawyers wishing to specialize in the field of space management. Admissions Criteria In order to form a homogeneous group, one needs to admit on the basis of the academic and professional achievements. Preference is given to one: - holding academic degrees, at least bachelor level - having a minimum of five years relevant experience - having a proficiency in English - demonstrating focused career perspectives in the space sector. Selection is performed in cooperation with the Human Resources departments if one is sponsored by its organization. Admission Procedure One selected by the Human Resources department submit: - A Curriculum Vitae - A certified academic record, transcript or mark sheet - A proof of language proficiency in English Other applicants, in addition to the above, shall submit: - An essay explaining the reasons they wish to attend the course - Two letters of recommendation - A declaration of professional experience Course content Module 1 1. Core knowledge: - space science and technology - space applications 2. Fundamentals on: - accounting - finance - risk and insurance -economics Module 2 - Finance and accounting - Corporate law (incl. due-diligence) - Public procurement - Marketing - Operations management - Space Business - Economics (incl. risk and insurance) Module 3 - Political economy of the aerospace industry - International Space Business & Investment - Entrepreneurship and innovation - International policy and strategy - International relations and negotiations - International space law Module 4 Cost engineering - Human resources - Project management - System management Module 5 Case studies and emergency business responses |
