IU Law School Scholarships

Sir I want to do Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) form IU Law School so can you tell me what are the Scholarships available

IU was founded in 1842, the Indiana University Maurer School of Law is the ninth oldest law school in the U.S

Scholarships and Fellowships

Indiana Law offers assistance through scholarship and fellowship programs.

There is no separate application for scholarships and/or fellowships required

The majority of r scholarship money is merit-based.

Your application for admission, LSDAS report, personal statement, and letters of recommendation to determine the level of scholarship, if any.

These scholarship decisions will be sent within ten days of the acceptance letter.

Along with the scholarships mentioned above, IU has established partnership Scholar Programs with a number of undergraduate institutions.

Admitted applicants are eligible for these programs if they are current students or alumni from

Albion College,
Bryn Mawr College,
Coe College,
Dartmouth College,
DePauw University,
Grinnell College,
Hope College,
Indiana University-Bloomington
Princeton University,
Smith College,
University of Rochester, Vassar College,
Wabash College, or Wellesley College,


Back Home Again scholarship award.

Admitted students who do not currently meet the state's requirements for in-state tuition, but have, at some point, lived in Indiana for at least ten years, will be considered


You may also wish to explore external scholarship opportunities, to assist in funding your legal education.

Federal Assistance

To qualify for federal student aid which for law students includes Stafford, PLUS, and Perkins Loans, you must meet all of the following criteria:

Be a citizen or eligible non-citizen of the United States with a valid Social Security
Number.

Be enrolled at least half-time in an eligible program as a regular student seeking a
degree.

Have repaid any financial aid for which you were not eligible.

Have made satisfactory arrangements to pay off any defaulted student loan.

If you have exhausted your eligibility for Federal Direct loans or are ineligible for a Grad PLUS loan and need supplemental funding, a private educational loan program may be available to you to help finance your education.
