Java dce rpc
Is Javapac a Remote Procedure Call (RPC) implementation as described in the Distributed Computing Environment (DCE) specifications? Tell me some more information regarding Javapac RPC DCE? Where can we use it?

Re: Java dce rpc
The Javapac is a Remote Procedure Call (RPC) implementation as described in the Distributed Computing Environment (DCE) specifications from The Open Group. This technology is used by many vendors for distributed computing and, in particular, remote management of servers and workstations. It is the underlying networking protocol behind many Microsoft products such as DCOM, Microsoft Exchange and management utilities for maninpulating users, servers and workstations. The ncacn_np transport works with the JCIFS transport and MIDLC MIDL compatible IDL compiler. Uses: It was used in the UK's National Insurance Recording System (NIRS/2). It is used by: Pennsylvania State University's student information portal, eLion the older version of HP OpenView Operations for Unix/Windows Agents Microsoft Exchange/Outlook (MAPI/RPC) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for Multiplayer lobbies, making small clouds to decide on a host or lobby migration Books: Luke Kenneth Casson Leighton (1999). DCE/RPC over SMB: Samba and Windows NT Domain Internals. Sams. ISBN 1-57870-150-3. The description serves three purposes: It provides general information that is relevant to many of the routines in the RPC API, but is not specified in the individual manual pages. It provides a rationale for the set of RPC APIs included in this document. It provides general guidelines for the intended use of the RPC APIs. |
