The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination of objective pattern is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country. It is regarded internationally as one of the most challenging engineering admission tests. Eligibility: The minimum academic qualification for appearing in JEE (MAIN) is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination . The upper age limit to be eligible for JEE Main is 25, as on October 1, 2016. This age limit is relaxed by five years for SC, ST, PwD candidates. Candidate should have either appeared in class 12 In class 10+2, candidate should have studied at least five main subjects. Number of Attempts The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE (Main) shall be limited to 03 (three) Qualifying Examinations – The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination.
