Government of Jharkhand has assigned the accountability of conducting entrance tests for admission into various Institutions in the state. J.C.E.C.E.B. at the moment organizes the several entrance tests annually (depends upon the approval granted by the respective Departments of Govt. of Jharkhand for the respective session.

The details of the entrance test for ITI admission is as follows:

I.T.I. to Diploma Entrance Competitive Examination (Voc. / I.T.I. to Dip. E.C.E.)

Residential – Applicant must be a Permanent/Local resident of Jharkhand as per letter no. 5/vivid-9/2001 (domicile) ka. 2691/Ranchi, dated 29.04.2002 of Personnel, Administrative Reforms & Raj Bhasa, Govt. of Jharkhand and have procured Local Residential Certificate issued by proper authority assigned by Govt. of Jharkhand.

Reservation - Applicant must be a Permanent/Local resident of Jharkhand AND have procured proper Local Residential Certificate & Caste Certificate issued by proper authority assigned by Govt. of Jharkhand to get the reservation as per RESERVATION POLICY of Govt. of Jharkhand. Up-to-date reservation policy of Govt. of Jharkhand will be followed in all courses of Govt. and Private Institutes situated in Jharkhand State.

Age Limit Criteria – Applicant of any age can apply

Educational Qualification –
Applicant must have passed Intermediate Vocational course examination with any one of the following subject:- Computer Science, Electronics Technology, Radio TV Technician, Automobile Engg. & Technician, Mining Geology, Electrical Domestic Appliances.

OR

Qualified Matriculation / 10th along with any one of the following two year’s ITI trades:-
Fitter, Turner, Mechanist, Mech. Motor Vehicle, Mechanist Grinder, Mech. Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Draftsman Mechanical, Instrument Mechanic, Electrical, Electrician, Wireman, Electroplater, Surveyor, Draftsman Civil, Mech. General Electronics, Mech. Radio & T.V., Mech. Consumer Electronics, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Electronics Mech., Mech. Computer Hardware, I.T. & E.S.M.
