Hey . .. I am a final year student of the JNU university want to appear in IAS exam . Is there any alumni (pass out student) of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) who is working as Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer , as I want to get guidance from him/her.

The UPSC is released schedule for civil services preliminary examination which is going to held in the month of June 2017

IAS 2017 is going too organized on 18th June, 2017 (Preliminary) and 28th October, 2017 (Main) and its application form will be available from 22nd February, 2017 onward.

Civil Service Examination, famous as IAS (Indian Administrative Service) is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment of the Posts and services

Eligibility Criteria for IAS 2017

Nationality

In order to apply for Indian Administrative Service candidates must be a citizen of India whereas, for all other aforesaid services candidate should be either a resident of India or a Tibetan refugee or a subject of Bhutan, Nepal or a Personal of Indian Origin.

Age Criteria

Candidates’ age should be in between 21 to 32 years for appearing in Civil Service Examination 2017.

Educational Qualification

Candidates having degree or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university are only eligible to appear for civil service examination. Candidates who have appeared in the final year degree exam but awaiting for their result can also apply for Preliminary examination, subject of submitting passing proof along with application for Civil Service Examination (Main).

For Open category candidates: Six times
OBC category candidates: Nine Times
SC/ST category candidates: No limit
