Requirements

Successful candidates should exhibit CIBC’s values of trust, team work, and accountability CIFC or CSC required prior to or within 6 months of start date

Must have strong influencing and negotiating skills to self-assuredly analyze needs and recommend the suitable product offer, conquer objections and close the sale.

Must have a proven track record in a proactive sales in environment.

Must be results oriented with strong time management skills
Must have the ability to adapt to constantly changing and shifting priorities and demands.

Must have an outgoing and excited personality that thrives on proactive selling in a retail sales environment

Must Know

Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule including days, evenings and weekend shifts to cover pavilion hours of operations

Must be mobile to travel within the city of New Minas, and surrounding areas on an occasional basis

Qualifications and Experience:


High school and/or post-secondary education

Nova Scotia Insurance License Level III

Preferably have one or more of CIP, FCIP, CAIB or CCIB

Minimum of 5 years’ commercial insurance sales experience

Outstanding customer service and sales skills

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Sell commercial insurance policies

Develop and maintain a prospect list

Build and uphold excellent customer relationships, including visiting customer sites

Keep abreast of market knowledge, products, and pricing issues and opportunities

Prepare proposals, and arrange for account placement with the insurance carriers

Gather and document relevant information to ensure the customer receives the appropriate coverage’s and service

Maintain good quality in the book of business by adhering to underwriting rules and good business practices

Arrange payment terms for new business sales and the appropriate collection of payments
Support customers with the claims process
