Here I am giving you information about required eligibility to become an officer in Crime Investigation Department below : TO join Crime Investigation Department must appear in the Indian Civil Services examination that is held by the Union Public Service Commission. Civil Service Exam Eligibility Criteria: To apply for civil service exam You have to pass graduation in any discipline from a well recognized university. Age limit : OBC candidate age limit maximum : 33 years. The candidate must be between 21-30 years of age. SC/ST have 5 years of age relaxation. Important dates : Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2014 Notification Date : 17th May 2014 Last dates for Applications : 16th June 2014 Examination will be held on : 24th August 2014 Civil Services Main Exam 2014 Examination will be held on : 14th December 2014 Scheme of Civil Services Examination The Civil Services Examination consists of two successive stages - Civil Services Preliminary Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination; Civil Services Main Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and post. The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of Objective type (multiple choice questions) each of 200 marks and carries a total of 400 marks. The question papers are set both in Hindi and English. Each paper is of two hours duration. Blind candidates are allowed extra time of twenty minutes for each paper.
