The Department/Faculty of Education of University of Kashmir was established in the year 1965. This is one of the biggest Departments in the University of Kashmir both in terms of student enrollment and number of the courses offered.

Eligibility Criteria
B. Ed. with 3 years teaching experience in a recognized Educational Institute
For experience person at school level, the certificate need to be countersigned by the concerned chief Education Officer and for college teachers, it should be countersigned by Dean College Development Council, University of Kashmir.

50% seats are reserved for fresh B. Ed. graduates without any teaching experience who have obtained not less than 55% marks at B.Ed. level.
