Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria of KCET 2016 for Medical / Dental (MBBS / BDS)

Candidate should have passed 2nd PUC or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology English as one of the Languages. Minimum marks to be obtained in PCB (aggregate) is 50% (40% for SC, ST, Cat 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B candidates).


Eligibility criteria of KCET for Engineering (BE / B.Tech)

Candidate should have passed 2nd PUC or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects with English as one of the languages

. Minimum marks to be obtained in optional subjects is 45% (40% for SC, ST, Cat 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B candidates).

Examination Pattern :

Question paper of Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics will each be of 60 marks.
Kannada language test of 50 marks shall be conducted for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates.
Agricultural practical examination of 200 marks to be held for claiming seats under agriculturist quota.
There is no negative marking.
