Government of Karnataka Department of Medical Education in association with Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has decided to accept AIPGMEE 2016 score for admission 50% state quota seats in Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Diploma programmes.

The admission to Karnataka PG Medical 2016 academic programmes will be done on the basis of AIPGMEE 2016 score for Karnataka State.

There will be no separate entrance exam for admission to Karnataka PG Medical courses.

AIPGMEE is a national level postgraduate medical entrance exam conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE) for admission to 50% All India Quota MD/MS/Diploma seats in various medical colleges of India except Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir.

AIPGMEE Eligibility:

MBBS degree and have obtained registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils after completing compulsory rotating internship.

Candidate must be an Indian Citizen

Registration with MCI/State Medical Council is necessary and its documentary proof should be furnished at the time of counselling and admission in allotted College

Candidates who have studied/passed MBBS from the state of Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are not eligible for AIPGMEE.
