The Kerala Engineering Agriculture Medical (KEAM) Exam for admissions to Professional Degree courses

The Government of Kerala provides for the reservation of seats for various courses.

KEAM Reservation of Seats-

Reservation of Seats Under KEAM 2015- Mandatory Reservation

State Merit (SM) 60%
Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) 30%

Only those candidates are eligible whose total annual income of all family members is less than equal to Rs. 6 lacs

The seats unavailed by the SEBC category candidates will be allotted under State Merit.

b. Muslim (MU) 8%
c. Other Backward Hindu (BH) 3%
d. Latin Catholic and Anglo Indian (LA) 3%
e. Dheevara and related communities (DV) 2%
f. Viswakarma and related communities (VK) 2%
g. Kusavan and related communities (KN) 1%
h. Other Backward Christian (BX) 1%
i. Kudumbi (KU) 1%
Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes 10%
a. Scheduled Castes (SC) 8%
b. Scheduled Tribes (ST) 2

Seats reserved under this category will be awarded purely on merit basis, irrespective of the category to which the candidate belongs.

Reservations for Persons with Disabilities PWD-

3 percent of the seats available to the State for allotment from the State rank lists are reserved for candidates with disabilities for all courses in Govt./Aided College

Such candidates include:

Visually handicapped
Hearing disabled
Locomotory disabled

Persons with 50-70% Disabilities will be eligible for seats under reservation quota, as per the Medical Council of India guideline
