The Keogh Institute for Medical Research is a research and clinical organisation dedicated to endocrine (hormonal) disorders and their impact on reproductive and sexual health

Clinical services in the following areas:

Sexual dysfunction (male and female)
Androgen deficiency
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Menopause
Menstrual irregularity and anovulation
Infertility (male and female)
Healthy men’s and women’s check

Below are some examples of the research are currently undertaking:

Investigating the link between thyroid function and ovulation in women undergoing IVF. It is hoped that results form this study will assist doctors in optimising thyroid medications to help women achieve pregnancies
Searching for DNA variations in women with polycystic ovary syndrome that may help to identify the genes causing polycystic ovary syndrome
Investigating the link between coeliac disease and osteoporosis via questionnaire
Determining the best hormonal treatment for controlling menstruation in severely intellectually disabled women.
