Karnataka Management test is the test conducted by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges’ Association (KPPGCA) every year for admission into MBA/PGDM and MCA courses of various institutes in Karnataka. KPPGCA has over 169 participating institutions affiliated to their respective universities in Karnataka Eligibility Criteria : The candidate according to the Criteria published by the KPPGCA has to be a graduate from any of the recognized institutions, and has to have a minimum aggregate of 50% to be eligible for the examination Examination pattern : For the MBA/PGDM (Total Time Duration: 120 minutes): Language Comprehension 40 Questions Mathematical Skills 40 Questions Basic Aptitude 40 Questions For the MBA & MCA (Total Time Duration: 160 minutes): Language Comprehension 40 Questions Mathematical skills 40 Questions Basic Aptitude 40 Questions Logical Reasoning 40 Questions The candidate gets only one minute per question, and due to stiff competition has to ace the test. There are over 9000 students attempting the test every year. Syllabus : Language Comprehension: This section tests the student’s vocabulary and the ability to understand standard written English. This section also tests his ability to comprehend passages, and make conclusions. This section primarily includes: Reading Comprehension, Synonyms, Antonyms, Preposition, and Essay Writing. Mathematics: This section deals with general aptitude problems, and it tests the student’s ability to solve real world analytical and aptitude problems. This section generally includes: Numbers, Algebra, Time and Distance, Probability, Percentage, Profit and loss, etc. Logical Reasoning: This part of the test, scrutinizes the students ability to make conclusions based on numerical and graphical data. Data is presented in the form of Tables, charts, graphs, etc. This section includes: Coding-Decoding, Linear and Circuit arrangements, analogies, Data Interpretation, Dot situation, Blood Relation, Venn Diagrams, etc. Basic Aptitude: This section tests the student’s General Knowledge. Most questions are based on current affairs and the like. This section includes: Current Affairs, Business, Top officials, Famous awards and prizes, World records, Books and authors, Science, History, Important quotes, Social issues, sports, etc. |
