The Assam Post Graduate PG Medical Entrance Exam is replaced by the NEET PG Exam.

Admission to Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) programmes located in the state of Assam will be done on the basis of NEET PG scores.

Admission to Assam PG Medical 2017 will be done on the basis of Assam PG Medical Merit list based on NEET PG scores 2017.

Admission will be the basis for Admission to 50% state quota seats, while 50% All India quota will be given on the basis of NEET PG 2017 scores.

Assam PG Medical Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have studies MBBS from a college/university recognized by Medical Council of India

Candidate must have completed one month of rotating internship

Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50 percentile marks in NEET PG 2017 for General category

Candidates who belong to SC/ST/OBC categories must have secured at least 40 percentile in NEET PG 2017.
In respect to candidates with disability, the minimum marks to qualify is 45 percentile

Candidates have to physically fit to pursue the course

Documents required-

Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution or College that candidate will be completing the Internship by March 31, 2017

Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI / State Medical Council.

OBC certificate issued by the competent authority. The sub caste should tally with the central list of OBC. The OBC candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer (if applicable)

Candidates allotted seat must carry one of the identification proof (ID Proof) to the allotted college at the time of admission
