Hello sir I want to know the new tariff plan of KSEB so please provide me suitable information about the same.

The Kerala State Electricity Boards (KSEB) has revised Electricity Tariff for domestic users in Kerala. The new tariff is applicable from August 16, 2014.

Telescopic billing

KSEB follows a slab system for electricity billing.

According to this slab system, there are different rates applied for different slabs of electricity consumption.

As you move up in the slabs, the rate per unit goes up significantly.

You will be billed different rates for the units consumed according to the slabs. This is called telescopic billing.

New tariff plan of KSEB

For domestic power consumers, the new tariffs are

Slab (0-40) Rs. 1.50/Unit

Slab (41-80) Rs. 1.90/Unit

Slab (81-120) Rs. 2.20/Unit

Slab (121-150) Rs. 2.40/Unit

Slab (151-200) Rs. 3.10/Unit

Slab (201-300) Rs. 3.50/Unit

Slab (301-500) Rs. 4.60/Unit

Above (500) units Rs. 6.50/Unit

Rs 20/-per month for single phase consumers

Rs 60/- per month for three phase consumers

Consumers having an average monthly consumption of < 40 units per month are exempted from Fixed Charges.

The power subsidy is available to BPL families only.
