Re: KU campus parking
Students are eligible for the following types of parking permits Park & Ride — $100/yr For students who live off campus. The Park & Ride parking lots (301 & 302) are located on West Campus near 23rd & Iowa, and then you get on a bus that takes you directly to Main Campus. Park & Ride is route 41, and the schedule can be found on the Lawrence Transit web site. University Housing — $190/yr For students who live in residence halls. This permit allows the student to park only in lots that are close to where they are living, not in all of the housing parking lots. Housing permits are also not valid in yellow, red, blue or gold zones. Daisy Hill: Templin, Lewis, Hashinger, Ellsworth, and McCollum Halls Lots 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, and 300. GSP and Corbin Halls Lots 111, 120 and 94 (except home football game days). Jayhawker Towers Lots 109, 110, 123, 101-105, and 300. Oliver Hall Lots 112 and 127. Scholarship Halls Lots 100, 107, 120, 121, 122, and 124, and eligible for a limited number of Mississippi Street Garage permits. Stouffer Place Apartments Lot 114. Stouffer Place residents eligible for purchase of multiple parking permits. Sunflower Apartments Lot 128. Lied Center Only — $125/yr For students who live in Templin, Lewis, Hashinger, Ellsworth and McCollum Halls or Jayhawk Towers. Permit is valid only in lot 300. Yellow — $200/yr For students who live off campus. Yellow zones are located all over campus, but because parking permits are oversold, you may not get to park exactly where you want. Parking Garage Permits There are also two parking garages on campus. Students must be currently enrolled to be on the waiting list, and must come to the Parking & Transit office in person to get signed up. Mississippi Street Parking Garage — $235/yr For any student living off campus or in the scholarship halls. If there is a waiting list, it generally takes less than 1 year to become eligible to purchase this permit. Allen Fieldhouse Parking Garage — $235/yr For any graduate student whose program and/or primary office location is in one of the following buildings: Art & Design, Dole, Eaton, Green Haworth, Learned, Lindley, Murphy, Malott, Military Science, or Robinson. It can take up to 2 years to become eligible to purchase this permit. |
