There is no such provisions into NIT's for that.

Even Diploma Engineering Student who cracks AIEEE will be provided Admission to the first year of B.Tech at NIT's

As there is no provision for lateral entry into 2nd year.

However, request was made for introducing such provisions but has be rejected as it will effect the quality and faculty of education at NIT's.
