The Central Library of ISI is situated at Kolkata with a system stretching out to different areas of the Institute.Over the years, the library has achieved the refinement of being one of the wealthiest libraries of the nation, especially

in the field of Statistics and related orders. The Central Library at Kolkata has more than 2,00,000 volumes of books and diaries other than numerous official reports, reprints,maps, microfilms and microfiches. It gets around one thousand logical and specialized diaries yearly.

The Library has obtained information bases on CD-ROM and further computerisation of the library offices is in advance. The library has built up a different accumulation of books and diaries in Mathematics and Statistics known as Eastern Regional Center of NBHM accumulation, out of the gifts from the National Board of Higher Mathematics.

The organization offers a course prompting Associateship in Documentation and Information Science, led by the Documentation Research and Training Center of ISI Bangalore. The Center and the Library constitute the Library, Documentation and Information Sciences Division of ISI.
