The Jammu University is having a Department of Zoology. Through this Department of Zoology the University is invited candidates for M.Sc, M.Phil, Ph.D courses.

The Department of Zoology came into existence in the year 1998 as a result of the split of the erstwhile Department for Bio-Sciences (Botany & Zoology) which was established in 1971.

Seat intake:

M.Sc : 30
M.Phil : 08
Ph.D : 08

Eligibility:
Candidates have obtained Master Degree, with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST Candidates) in the Programme in which he/she desires to work for M.Phil/Ph.D
