I would like to tell you that “The M.S. Ramaiah College” of Pharmacy provides 4 main courses of study in the field of Pharmacy.

1. Doctor in Pharmacy (Pharm.D)

2. Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

3. Master in Pharmacy (M.Pharm)

4. Ph.D in Pharmacognosy (Full Time)


The Eligibility to Pharm.D course is as follow:

You should have passed any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 60% marks in aggregate of the above subjects.

1. Intermediate examination in science

2. 10 + 2 examination in science.

3. Pre degree examination or

Any other qualification approved by the pharmacy council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

After that here I am mentioning the various details of this course which is as :

Let me tell you that the course of study in PharmD comprises of six academic years which involves five years of study and one year of internship or residency and full time with each academic year spread over a period of not less than two hundred working days.

The period of six years duration is divided into two phases.

Phase I : Consisting of First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth academic year

Phase II : Consisting of internship or residency training during sixth year involving posting in specialty units.

It is a phase of training wherein a student is exposed to actual pharmacy practice or clinical pharmacy services and acquires skill under supervision so that he or she may become capable of functioning independently.
