M.Tech with Three Years Duration for Research Assistant (RA) Positions:

Under 3 year M.Tech. Program, maximum 2 seats per program are available in Electrical Engg, Electronics & Communication, Centre for VLSI & Nanotechnology, Applied Mechanics, Metallurgical & Materials Engg and Chemical Engg departments in the Institute under Research Assistant (R.A.) Scheme.

These seats are available for Group A candidates and will be offered in the Institutional Round by inter-se-merit.

3 year MTech seats are NOT available for MTech Programmes in Civil, Architecture & Planning, Mechanical, Mining and Computer Science Departments.

Candidates admitted in RA Scheme will have to complete their tenure of three years and in no case will be entertained for conversion to 2 year programme.

Eligibility -

The admissions are done in two categories, Group A (stipendiary) and Group B (sponsored).

Group-A:

The Group A seats consist of 3 year MTech seats in Research Assistant scheme.

The Group A may also include 2 year MTech vacant seats after Institute Reporting round of CCMT is over.

All CCMT2016 registered candidates satisfying eligibility criteria of CCMT2016 for VNIT are eligible for admission to the stipendiary seats in the respective programs.

The Candidates who have already been admitted to VNIT during Institute Reporting are also eligible to participate in this round by applying as Group-A candidates, for seats in MTech (2 year) as well as MTech (3 year RA) category, by inter-se-merit.
