Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow is separated into two university the first university was named Gautam Buddha Technical University (GBTU) and another one was named Mahamaya Technical University (MTU)

It was set up by the government of Uttar Pradesh on 8 May 2000.

The date sheet for the Mahamaya Technical University Exam has not been declared yet.
