As you want I am telling method of CGPA calculated at Manipal University, below formula is used in calculating the CGPA:
(GPA1*Credits1+GPA2*Credits2+.......)/Total No. of Credits
where
GPA1 : First Sem GPA
GPA2 : Second Sem GPA
Credits1 : Total credits earned in first sem
Credits2 : Total credits earned in second sem

The credits are counted as the weekly hours of theory lectures and practical labs. Every one hour of theory lectures is counted as one credit. For labs three hours are counted as one credit.
