The Manipal University Jaipur (Rajasthan) has been established by an Act (No. 21 of 2011) of State Legislature of Rajasthan as a State Private University as specified by the University Grants Commission UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956.

It is one of the premier universities in Jaipur, India.

It is the fifth university established under iManipal Group. Courses and programs are being offered by the university like Law, Engineering, Medical, Hospitality, Allied Health, Management, Communication, Jewellery Management etc. to enhance the interest of students in all fields.

The University is recognised by Bar Council of India (BCI) for law courses and Council of Architecture (COA) for Architecture courses.

Manipal University, Jaipur has been ranked 10th in Top 10 Universities for Academic Excellence, by The Higher Education Review Magazine.

The magazine recently released a report '25 Top Private/Deemed Universities Survey 2016'.
