Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University is a university in Ajmer which was opened in 1987 and is named after the philosopher Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati.

There are around 89 government-run and private colleges affiliated with the university. These colleges are spread throughout Rajasthan. The National Accreditation and Assessment Council of India has accredited it a B++ rating.

It is recognized by UGC : University Grants Commission; AICTE : All India Council For Technical Education and NCTE : National Council For Teacher Education.
