I am pursuing B.Tech in Electronics And Communication Engineering (ECE) from Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) , Rohtak . I have Exam of B.Tech (5th Sem) after 1 month and I have misplaced my Syllabus . Would you please provide me latest updated B.Tech (5th Sem) (ECE) of MDU ?? I am providing you the syllabus of B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engg ECE 5th Sem of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. MDU B.Tech ECE 5th Sem Syllabus Semester-V Course Course No. Title EE-301-E Communication Engineering EE-303-E Electronic Measurement and instrumentation EE-305-E Analog Electronic Circuits EE-307-E Antenna and Wave Propagation CSE-210-E Computer Architecture and Organisation EE-309-E Microprocessors and Interfacing EE-323-E Electronic Measurement and Instrumentation Lab (EL,EI, IC,EE) EE-325-E Analog Electronic Circuit Lab (EL,EI, IC) EE-329-E Microprocessors and Interfacing Lab (EL,EI, IC, CSE,IT, EEE, AEI) EE-331-E Electronic Circuit Simulation Lab EE-335-E Practical Training-I Communication Engineering TOTAL : 150 DURATION OF EXAM : 3 HRS UNIT 1 SPECTRAL ANALYSIS : Fourier Series, Fourier tranforms, Convolution Theorem, Correlation, Cross-Correlation and autocorrelation. UNIT 2 INFORMATION THEORY : Introduction to information and entropy, channel capacity for discrete and continuous channels, Shannon's Theorem, Shannon-Hartley Theorem, Noisy channels, coding theory : Shannon-Fano coding, minimum redundance coding, maximization of entropy of a continuous message transmission rate, effect of medium on the information, selection of channels ,effect of noise and its minimization. UNIT 3 RANDOM SIGNAL THEORY : Representation of random signals, concept of probability, probability of joint occurrence, conditional probability, discrete probability theory, continuous random variables, probability distribution function, probability density function, joint probability density functions. Statistical average and moments, Ergodic processes, correlation function, power spectral density, central limit theory, response of linear system to random signals. Error function, regularity, covariance relation among the spectral densities of the two input-output random processes. Cross spectral densities, optimum filters. TEXT BOOK : 1. Principles of Communication Systems : Taub Schiling; TMH REFERENCE BOOKS. 1. Communication Systems : Singh and Sapre ; TMH 2. Communication Systems : A Bruce Carlson; TMH NOTE: Eight questions are to be set, at least two from each unit.
