The University of Science and Technology Southern Philippines exists to contribute to the economic and social development of the country through human capital formation and knowledge generation and application by providing advanced education as well as training in critical areas in science, technology, engineering, agriculture, & mathematics, as well as establish centers of excellence in these areas in order to strengthen the university’s sphere of influence and conducting basic, applied, as well as advanced research in various fields of specialization and also creating a seamless environment for research and teaching, and experiential learning for the students as well as faculty with the Involvement of the business and industry thereby eliminating skills mismatch of graduates.

It also provides timely and relevant technological solutions to pressing industrial and societal problems with the involvement of faculty and students as well as assisting in the development of technopreneurial undertakings to propel economic enterprises at the grassroots level and also leading the establishment and creation of new Science and Technology rooted in the practical solutions to global problems.

Library Facility

The University Library and Audiovisual Services has the fundamental obligation of giving the gathering of assets and administrations to the understudies and staff of Mindanao University of Science and Technology.

As a necessary piece of the University association and as a scholarly asset of the scholastic group, the Library lines up with the statement of purpose of the foundation with its vision, mission, objectives and destinations.

Goals and Objectives

The accompanying are the objectives and destinations of the Library and Audiovisual Services System:

To create and upgrade the capacity of the library assets and administrations in taking care of the requests of the curricular, instructional, educational, and explore projects of the scholarly group by giving normal financing to yearly procurement of library materials;

To build up a PC foundation of all library operations and administrations by getting library PC programming and equipment to make computerization utilitarian;

To build up a solid library linkage with different foundations and offices in the nation and if conceivable with associations and offices from remote nations by looking for contact with these organizations;

To reinforce the library's cling to the library benefactors by building up "Companions of the Library" program which would aid the improvement of the library accumulation;

To give benefits that improve the mission for information and scholarly action through the foundation of communitarian spaces and learning house;

To make different reference indices and library pathfinders for simple access and recovery of data;

To make an environment wherein understudies and personnel may bear on the learning procedure.
