Master of Arts (M.A.) Social Work

Duration - 2 years / 4 sem.

Intake - 20 seats

Eligibility-

Bachelor's degree in any stream (Arts, Science and Commerce) from a University established by law in India with at least 50 per cent marks

Basis of Admission

Admission to the course will be done through Entrance Test. The qualifying marks for the entrance test will be 50% and 40% for SC/ST candidates.

The selection will be done on the basis of marks in the entrance test and past academic records as under and shall be open to all persons :

Written Entrance Test 100
Weightage of the qualifying examination 10
Weightage to M.A.Sociology 10
Interview 10
Total Marks 130

The weight-age of 10% of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination i.e. the Bachelor's Degree and M.A. in Sociology will be added to the marks obtained in the Entrance Test.

The minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test will be 35% to make the candidates eligible for interview/ admission.

In case of SC/ST candidates, the minimum qualifying marks shall be reduced until the full SC/ST quota for admission has been exhausted.
