Associate Membership Examinations documented as comparable to B.E. / B.Tech. Degree conducted by recognized professional bodies (like Institution of Engrs. (India), Institute of Chemical Engrs., Aeronautical Society of India, Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers., Indian Institute of Metals etc.)

Candidates having degree from foreign universities are required to submit correspondence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi for qualifying Exam and evidence of having tenable first class or 60% (55% for SC/ST) or equivalent in qualifying examination

Candidate who have passed an IIT B.Tech.

Degrees with a CGPA/CPI of 8.00 and above are exempted from the requirement of GATE qualification.

Admissions for such candidates are through standard procedure for selection of candidates for TA/RA positions through written test and/or interview
They should have passed the communicating GATE Paper as specified.
