Mucolyte Bromhexine HCL

Hello sir I want to know side effects of Mucolyte Bromhexine HCL so here can you please give me its details ?

Hey as Bromhexine hydrochloride SYRUP is contra-indicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to sympathomimetic amines

Mucolyte category:
Human
Cough and cold preparations

Side Effects
There are no known negative interactions with other medications.
However it is recommended not to use the drug during pregnancy and particularly in the first three months, or if you are nursing children.
At the same time there are some rare side effects that can occur and these include immune system disorders, skin disorders and respiratory disorders.
In some rare cases skin lesions have been linked with the medication.
Bromhexine Works
Bromhexine works by encouraging the body's natural process for clearing mucus from the respiratory tract.
It does this by increasing the production of serous mucus which is a thin type of mucus which dilutes the phlegm making it less hard and sticky.
This also helps to 'lubricate' that hard phlegm which is already there – aiding the cilia (tiny hairs which line the respiratory tract) in sliding the phlegm out from the lungs.
As well as being used on its own it is also included in a range of cough syrups.
