The Mumbai Municipal Corporation Union Trust was founded in 1946.

It is also known as BOMBAY MUNICIPAL SUBORDINATE STAFF UNION.

The first President of the Union was Shri. R.K. Karanjia.

The Union is of middle class educated employees of the Corporation.

It has also another registered trust known as Yeshwant Foundation which manages a Holiday Home of the Union at Lonavla.

A unique feature of the Union is that despite leading political leaders were Office Bearers but for the last 65 years, the Union remained independent of any political affiliation.
