The profile of Mumbai University cut out in 156 years of its working authenticates its complex accomplishments as the scholarly and good powerhouse of the general public. The University has constantly given its best to the nation as a rule and to the city of Mumbai specifically by excitedly carring a continually developing heap of social qualities and openings.

At first, the University focused its endeavors on controlling educating at the undergrad level and in directing examinations. Later on it took up research and the errand of giving guidelines at the Post-Graduate level.
